Johnny and Tom
This year has been a good one for Johnny. He's doing really well in school and has signed up to the chess club! Now he does not need to play rugby, which he's thrilled about.
That wasn't ever entirely his thing. Too much exercise isn't healthy for a person, he insists.
I must admit that I totally agree. Whilst Tom is entirely the opposite, he is forever playing rugby. It's amazing the amount of get-up-and-go he's got, particularly because he always refuses to eat properly. He appears to be totally powered by chocolate!
Our home received a new kitchen during summertime, and this was overdue from my point of view. We had the workmen at the house for ages sorting it out, and it is fabulous.
Oh that our lawn was in equally respectable shape, it desperately needs a bit of care. But I'm in no way green-fingered, therefore I'll refrain from doing anything stupid. The repair we had carried out on the roofing was costly, but it seems to be successful. Hopefully we will not be obliged to do any more repairs any time soon.
This year we had two family holidays in Norfolk.
They were tremendous. The climate was wonderful, and that was pleasing, and our kids were incredibly happy to investigate the country. We brought Goldie with us as well, as we consistently stay in pet friendly cottages: he adored darting along the shore, so much more entertaining in comparison to the town.
Whilst we were holidaying we grabbed the opportunity to go windsurfing, a thing I'd never attempted previously. I'm hardly proficient, but I'll go in the future.
At the start of 2011 we got a bit of good news as Jeremy got a promotion.
He's incredibly content with his new work, plus he reckons that the organisation might be fast-tracking him to training as a boss. That would be terrific. Especially given the current financial downturn. I'm only working two shifts per week these days, so I'm hardly earning a large amount. But I require the extra time off, I can tell you! The children take a lot of looking after, and needless to say I have the housework to do.
And that is a job which doesn't end.
Life's A Beach
This summer we had two family holidays in Norfolk. They turned out to be fabulous.
The weather was terrific, and that was pleasing, and our kids were really delighted to explore the landscape. We took Collie with us as well, because we always go for pet friendly cottages: he loved padding along the beach, so much better than the town. Whilst we were on vacation we seized the chance to try windsurfing, something I hadn't attempted before.
I'm hardly a natural, but I will do it in the future.

Our house received a new bathroom during summer-time, which was about time I think.
We'd the workmen at the house for ages getting the job done, and it is superb.
If only our garden was in equally fine condition, it urgently needs some help. But I'm not exactly green-fingered, so I'll let it be. The work we got done on the roof was costly, but it seems to have been worthwhile. One would hope we will not be required to do any more repair work in the near future.
This year was a wonderful one for Charlie.
He's progressing very well in school and has signed up to the debating society! Now he does not need to go to rugby, which he's very happy about. It was never exactly his bag. Excessive exercise is not good for you, he claims. I have to say that I totally agree. While Nathan is quite the other way, he is always playing tennis.
It is unbelievable what amount of get-up-and-go he has, even more so as he still declines to eat properly.
He seems to be entirely fuelled by crisps!
In the beginning of 2011 we had some good news when Jack got a promotion. He's exceptionally content with his new job, and he suspects that the organisation might be fast-tracking him to become a head of department. That would be great. In particular in the present economic downturn.
I am just doing my job 3 shifts per week nowadays, therefore I am not making a fortune.
Mind you I need the extra free time, I can tell you! The kids take a lot of looking after, and needless to say I have the tidying up to be getting on with.
And that's a task which never ends.
A Very Good Year
This year we had 2 family holidays in Norfolk.
They turned out to be wonderful.
The climatic conditions were wonderful, and that was good, plus the kids were extremely delighted to explore the country. We brought Goldie with us as well, as we invariably stay in pet friendly cottages: he adored padding up the beach, way better in comparison to the city. While we were on vacation we took the chance to go horseriding, something I had never attempted previously.
I am hardly proficient, but I'll do it again.
This year was an outstanding one for Simon. He's progressing incredibly well at school and even joined the orchestra! Therefore he does not have to play rugby, and that he's pleased about. It was never exactly his favourite. Too much running about isn't good for anybody, he insists. I have to say that I completely agree. While Tom is quite the opposite, he is continually playing tennis. It is unbelievable what amount of get-up-and-go he has, particularly as he still refuses to eat properly.
He would appear to be entirely fuelled by crisps!
At the start of the year we received some great news when Donald was promoted. He is really happy with the new job, and he reckons that the company could be fast-tracking him to becoming a boss. That should be excellent. Particularly in the current economic slump.
I'm just working 2 days a week these days, therefore I am not making a large amount. However I need the extra free time, I can assure you! The kids take a lot of looking after, and needless to say I have the housework to do.
And that is a duty which doesn't end.
Our house got a new bathroom in August, and that was overdue in my opinion. We'd the guys in for a long time sorting it out, but it is brilliant. If only the garden was in similarly fine shape, it really requires a little care. But I'm in no way a gardener, so I shall refrain from doing anything stupid. The work we got done on the roofing was dear, but it seems to have been successful. I'm hopeful that we will not need to carry out anymore repairs over the next few years.
Head of Department?
At the beginning of the year we received a bit of tremendous news when Dave got a promotion.
He's extraordinarily pleased with the new work, plus he reckons that the corporation might be fast-tracking him to becoming a head of department. That would be fantastic. Particularly in the current economic situation. I am just in the office three days per week nowadays, thus I am hardly making a fortune. However I need the additional free time, I can tell you! The children keep me busy, and obviously I have the housework to be getting on with. Of course that's a task that never ends.

Our home got a new kitchen during June, and that was overdue in my opinion. We had the workies at the house for ages sorting it out, however it looks great.
Oh that our garden was in similarly good condition, it really needs a little attention. However I am not exactly green-fingered, so I will refrain from doing anything stupid.
The repair we got done on the roof was pricey, however it appears to be worthwhile. One would hope we won't be required to do further repair work any time soon.

Excessive running about isn't good for you, he says. I must admit that I totally agree. Whilst Tom is quite the opposite, he's always playing hockey. It's amazing what amount of get-up-and-go he has, especially because he always declines to feed himself appropriately. He would seem to be wholly powered by chips!
Last summer we went on a couple of family holidays in Norfolk. They were brilliant. The climate was marvellous, which was nice, plus the boys were tremendously delighted to investigate the countryside.
We took Eddie along too, because we consistently rent pet friendly cottages: he loved darting down the beach, so much more entertaining in comparison to the town. Whilst we were holidaying we took the chance to try surfing, a thing I hadn't tried previously. I am hardly a natural, but I will go again.
Chimney Repair
The house got a new bathroom in July, and that was overdue in my opinion. We'd the guys in for ages getting the job done, but it is fantastic.
If only our garden was in similarly respectable shape, it desperately needs a little attention. However I am in no way a gardener, therefore I will refrain from doing anything stupid.

At the start of the year we got a bit of fantastic news as Steve got a promotion.
He's very content with his new position, plus he reckons that the business might be fast-tracking him to become a manager. This would be excellent.
In particular in the existing financial situation. I'm merely in the office three shifts a week these days, therefore I am hardly making a large amount. Mind you I need the additional free time, I can assure you! The kids keep me busy, and needless to say I have the housework to do.
Of course that is a job which never ends.

He would appear to be entirely fuelled by sweets!
Dining Room
The house got a different dining room during August, and this was overdue from my point of view.
We'd the workmen in for a long time sorting it out, however it is terrific. Oh that the garden was in similarly fine condition, it really requires some care.
However I am in no way green-fingered, therefore I shall refrain from doing anything stupid. The work we got carried out on the roof was dear, however it appears to be worthwhile.
Hopefully we will not be required to conduct anymore repairs over the next few years.

At the beginning of the year we received a bit of fantastic news when Kev got a promotion. He is exceptionally pleased with the new position, and he thinks that the organization might be pushing him to become a boss. That would be great. Even more so given the current economic situation. I am only doing my job three shifts per week now, so I am hardly making big bucks. But I require the additional time off, and no mistake! The kids take a lot of looking after, and obviously I've got the tidying up to be getting on with.
And that is a duty that never ceases.
2011 has been a terrific year for Charlie. He's getting on incredibly well at high-school and even joined the school band! Therefore he does not need to play football, which he's overjoyed about. That had never been quite his bag. Excessive exercise is not healthy for you, he maintains.
I have to say that I totally concur. Whilst Andy is entirely the opposite, he's forever playing basketball.
It's unbelievable how much get-up-and-go he has, particularly since he still declines to eat adequately. He would seem to be wholly fuelled by crisps!

Norfolk Fun
This year we went on two family holidays in Norfolk.
They were fantastic.
The climatic conditions were wonderful, which was a bonus, and the kids were really delighted to experience the countryside. We brought Collie with us too, since we always rent pet friendly cottages: he really liked padding up the sea-shore, so much more entertaining compared to the city. When we were away we grabbed the chance to go horse-riding, a thing I hadn't attempted previously.
I'm hardly proficient, but I shall do it again.

That wasn't ever quite his favourite. Too much running about isn't good for anybody, he insists. I'm compelled to concede that I utterly concur.
While Tom is entirely the opposite, he is always playing tennis.
It is incredible the amount of get-up-and-go he's got, especially because he still refuses to eat appropriately. He appears to be entirely powered by sweets!

Great Weather
Last year we enjoyed two family holidays in Norfolk. They were superb.
The weather was terrific, and this was good, and the kids were tremendously happy to experience the country.
We took Mitsy along as well, since we invariably stay in pet friendly cottages: he really liked darting along the seashore, so much more fun in comparison to the town.

Always Organise Your Holiday Plans Well
On one occasion I travelled on holiday with my girlfriend for a week in the Trossachs. It poured constantly when we were there, and each time we went outside we ended up dripping wet. Of course we wound up squabbling with respect to the reason that we hadn't gone to Portugal, and the debate turned in to a massive dispute. By the end of our vacation, I had lost my girlfriend! That's the sort of stuff that occurs if you organise your vacations poorly.
However, it was conceivably advantageous in the end: if her and me still went out then we'd most likely be bickering with respect to something daft right now.
Generally if I am on vacation I stay in luxury cottages.
They are a lot more fun in relation to a hotel, due to the fact that you're able to cook meals in them. I adore cooking, therefore I do not plan to squander my holiday having dinner in restaurants. Usually I attempt to find markets where I am able to pick up fresh foodstuffs, such that I am able to experience the local produce.
There's little better than purchasing veg direct off of the producer, and subsequently turning that into something sapid in my own kitchen.

As a kid the family's holidays were a disaster. We all argued with alarming frequency, and no-one was happy doing the things which the others hoped to do. Dad perpetually wanted us to engage with ramparts and culture, while I was more content simply mucking about in my room. My mother was always anxious with respect to the native cooking and the local insects. Really, once the break had reached its conclusion, we required a break to relax.
As far as I'm concerned, Norfolk holidays are unparalleled.
I have had many holidays in Norfolk and I've invariably had a first-rate time. If you love boats, like me, there's nowhere finer. Whereas if you love rambling through the landscape then Norfolk is ideal too. I met a fellow from Fakenham while I was on vacation in Turkey, and it was him that suggested visiting during the summer. I was amazed at how warm the weather is, it was as if you're abroad.
After that I've dropped in on him approximately one time each summer, and once in a while he drops in on Glasgow too.
